I personally don’t mind some of the hellborns being genuinely good people. Yes Hell is a bad place, but good and bad people exist regardless of upbringing. I understand Charlie has a reason to be good but I do actually like seeing some of the sins be genuinely sweet. I do like this critique but one thing I disagree with is Oz promoting consent. You can have lust with consent. Making Oz support the Hell equivalent of a date r*pe d*ug would make him unlikable to the audience and as an audience, he’s a character we’re supposed to empathize with. Overall, I agree with these being contradictions though

Actually I think India is pretty accurate since India is known for being pacifist. India telling England to ‘go fuck himself’ to his face would be weird as India is stereotyped for avoiding conflict. I think India hates England but just acts nice towards him maybe because of fear and his pacifism. Kind of like the Baltics towards Russia who act nice in his presence but make fun of him behind his back

I read an idea on tumblr that star was actually born when Asha's father made a wish at her birth for her to be protected and for her to be a good and kind person. Star basically eatched over Asha her entire life wanting to talk to her and falling in love with her until the night ahe made the wish on him and it gave him the ability to go down and help her (i love the idea of hum being mute and having to communicate through sign language and other things other than talking). I also fully love the idea that at all costs was just background music in a scene when Magnifico first destroys Asha's mother's wishes and she runs away because she believes that she is the reason everything bad is happening and Star goes after her to convince her to keep fighting and that she is the only hope to get all the wishes back. Star being in love with her and not telling hwr until the end of the movie (wether it be romantic or platonic) is so cute to me and just seeing him amile with little glowy freckles would sinply make me keel over.

I hate that people say "being in hell is no excuse to be bad". Yes it is, its HELL! They are by design bad people, and if they are all stand up citizens, then why is there a hell at all?
